Discovery Montessori School

This project received LEED Silver Certification and has the potential to be among the first LEED for Schools building certified in the state of Florida.

Through a collaborative effort the existing campus was provided the crowning accent. The positioning of the site provided the perfect anchoring solution and enabled many LEED credits to be utilized from the site itself. The new building encompasses administrative staff, the after-care program and a large multi-purpose room for reading, art and music activities. The project manifested day lighting strategies with large windows, overhangs, and a water collection system and specified mechanical systems which have a higher efficiency promoting a high indoor air quality
