KIPP Charter School - Elementary School

Design services were provided by Fisher | Koppenhafer for the new KIPP Elementary Schools located in Northwest Jacksonville adjacent to the existing KIPP Middle School facility which we converted from an old dog racing track facility into a beautiful, functional four-story middle school in 2008-2009.
The new two-story building will be a combination of concrete tilt-up exterior wall panels with a steel frame infill and metal deck with concrete floor system. The new structure will be approximately 76,116gsf and include 40 classrooms for two separate but combined Elementary Schools totaling 1,000 students. A central administration suite of 2,273sf will be shared as well as a 4,500sf multi-purpose room, 1,701sf physical education space, and 1,701sf music room and 1,845sf computer lab.

Other site improvements include a new Air-Nasium, full sized 400 meter track, playfields, required staff and teacher parking lots, bus loop, service lane, and on-site storm water retention.
